The peak of hurricane season is upon us. As per NOAA, there's a good chance that there will be more storm development in the Atlantic than usual in the coming weeks. Since El Nino has ended, forecasters predicted in August that there's a 45 percent chance that the rest of  hurricane season will be above normal.

According to CNN.com, the 2019 Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30. The areas covered include the Atlantic Ocean, Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea (see below chart). Some of the most memorable hurricanes in recent history happened in September and October. If past years are any indication, the worst could be yet to come.

A downgraded forecast today can quickly change to high hurricane storm predications tomorrow. How many times has a weather forecast been wrong? Too many to count. For all those who have dealt 1st hand with hurricanes and the aftermath, AND for anyone who has watched the disastrous effects on the news, should KNOW that being prepared is the best course of action when faced with seesaw weather predictions.

Don’t wait to see if you will be negatively affected, be proactive and be prepared as best you can with  A DOWNLOADABLE HURRICANE-RESOURCE GUIDE:
