(New York, NY) Restoration contractors and property inspectors will welcome the superior performance of the new Laser Distance Meter (LDM60) from General Tools & Instruments (General®). This precision meter quickly and accurately measures length, width, height, area and volume. It turns many two-person tasks into one-person tasks and avoids the need to rearrange rooms for measurement as the laser shoots over furniture and behind items like curtains, typically saving enough time to pay for itself in weeks.
The LDM60 has numerous measurement applications:
· Indoor distances and heights
· Square footage
· Volume (calculating heating/air conditioning loads, etc.)
· Heights and widths from a distance using indirect (Pythagorean) geometry
With its superior accuracy (+/-0.06 in./1.5mm), the LDM60 eliminates measurement errors. It features a range of 200 ft. (60m) and displays distances in feet or meters via a large backlit four-line LCD. This precision specialty instrument is lightweight, pocket-sized and splashproof and dustproof to IP54 standard. It offers a fast response time of 0.33 seconds. Operating modes include addition, subtraction, continuous measurement (tracking) and min/max distance to a reference along with a 20 measurement memory. The LDM60 comes with a toolbelt holster, two AAA batteries, a user’s manual and a two-year warranty.
See General’s new Laser Distance Meter at Connections 2011 Booth #103.
A production sample of the LDM60 will be on display. The LDM60 will be available for order.
