General Tools & Instruments Company, the leading supplier of specialty hand tools and electronic test instruments, announces the availability of a complete line of cutting tools suitable for PVC, CPVC, PEX, ABS, Polyethylene, and flexible rubber tubing. This line of cutting tools accommodates a wide range of styles, ergonomics, price points, and cutting actions. The line consists of 6 tools from the basic slicing model to a heavy duty, 8 click, ratcheting model allowing maximized grip pressure for smooth, clean vertical and angled cuts.
The Model 115 is the basic cost effective model effective on Polyethylene and ABS pipe to 1.5, PVC and PEX pipe to 1.25 and rubber hose to 2. The Model 1191 has extended handles to provide extra leverage for tough cuts. This model accommodates PVC, CPVC, PEX, ABS, and Polyethylene pipes to 2. The Model 117 is a trigger action plastic pipe and hose cutter which is highly effective in tight spaces and accommodates pipe up to 1 5/8. The Model 118 is a heavy-duty pipe and hose cutter with 12 handles to provide maximum leverage and heavy pressure to the cutting material. This cutting tool is a ratcheting system and accommodates pipe up to 2. The Model 119 is a plastic pipe and hose cutter with an 8 click ratcheting mechanism. The ergonomically designed handle is perfect for one handed ratcheting operation on pipe from 1/8 to 1 5/8 diameters. The final pipe cutter, Model 135, has 5 degrees of ratcheting with 360 degrees of cutting. It not only cuts rigid plastic pipes but accommodates thin walled Steel, Copper, Brass and Aluminum pipes as well.
